My year has taken off with a bang, lots of laughter and dining with author Jackie Collins!

January 17, 2011

Happy surprise! … I was just named the Celebrity Columnist for On the Scene Magazine… to write a fun, interesting, humorous, exciting…always positive, column about all kinds of celebrities in our area!

I’m not usually star-struck but I was so honored to be seated next to  Jackie Collins at The President’s Gala at the Soboba dinner table last Saturday, January 15.   I had a great time talking with Jackie about author adventures and her books!  The Gala photos with Jackie and the leaders at the event for my Celebrity Column in On the Scene Magazine are gorgeous!

It has been a huge learning experience that I will share about accompanying my racecar driver fiance to emergency rooms and locating great doctors.  Then meeting celebrities and rising stars… and writing about my celebrity adventures in my columns.   I am continuing to write my Cherries Over Quicksand books filled with romance and some really funny new stories… including good reasons not to have romantic MISSadventures with someone who will be center stage in front of a crowd  the next day… AH!  …happens more than I expected!

The Inland Empire Magazine February Issue for Valentine’s Day season with my Cherries Over Quicksand insights for romance has already arrived at businesses!

My thought for the day is:

Simple wonderful things happen all around us then something could catch us off guard, shock us and like the second before remembering to grab the banister on a slippery staircase… we remember God is right next to us… He did not have to catch us because He knew we could do it ourselves… just like wonderful parents next to their little children everywhere.   We can keep moving forward, because we are never alone.

… and I’m always around somewhere (just a Google away) if you just need a giggle!  ;D
